Mesh decking is an essential safety accessory for pallet racking, providing a secure platform that helps prevent pallets, cartons and loose products from falling through the racking system. Unlike solid timber shelves, mesh decking improves visibility throughout the racking and allows light and sprinkler water to pass through the storage system. It also provides additional support for damaged or non-standard pallets, helping to create a safer working environment.
Important: Standard mesh decking is not designed to carry loads independently. The pallet racking beams provide the structural support, while the mesh decking acts as a safety feature to help prevent products from falling through the racking. Where higher load capacities are required, mesh decking can be specifically designed and manufactured as a load-bearing solution to meet the required load specification.
